A man has been fined £10.5m for allegedly abusing a local man and selling unlicensed sexual drugs.
On 12 June last year, Mr George Stewart, 43, was found dead at his home after he allegedly sold fake and substandard Viagra (generic for erectile dysfunction) and other illegal erectile dysfunction drugs to a friend. Mr Stewart died of suspected tuberculosis at his home on the same day and his wife, however, was not aware that he had received the drugs from his local pharmacy.
The case was investigated by police, who found that Mr Stewart had sold the drugs for sale without the supervision of a pharmacist, the judge said.
He also admitted to selling the pills for sale for £14.75 each, the judge added.
Mr Stewart had not told the police he was buying them and had no idea he was taking the drugs. Mr Stewart was also a GP and was a consultant in erectile dysfunction at The University of London.
The judge said the drugs were being sold by Mr Stewart "only when a pharmacist in his home told him they were a prescription for drugs", and were not genuine, as he had not been present when he was arrested and admitted to selling the drugs for money.
The judge added that Mr Stewart had "understood" the dangers of buying unlicensed drugs and had not been seen by a pharmacist.
He had been charged with one count of possession of unlicensed drugs with intent to supply the drugs, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to supply, possession of a controlled substance with intent to supply and possession of a controlled substance.
Mr Stewart had also admitted to selling unlicensed Viagra and other illegal erectile dysfunction drugs. Mr Stewart died at his home in the city of Lloyds Pharmacy.
He was also sentenced to five years in jail and fined £10,000 for possession of a controlled substance.
Mr Stewart was also given an eight-month jail term and fined £10,000 for selling unlicensed drugs and selling drugs for a non-payment of £5,000.
He was also given a six-month prison term for making an unlicensed drug and a three-year prison term for selling a fake drug.
Mr Stewart had also admitted to selling the pills for sale for £14.75 each, the judge added.

Mr Stewart said: "I was taking Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. I had a consultation with a GP about my erectile dysfunction and he prescribed them as I was told they were for my sex drive.
"I took them for the first time and he said that was not the case, but when he got back, he got into the bedroom and went back to buy them. I was then arrested and had a chat with a pharmacist and they told me they were for my sex drive.
"I was told I should not take them and they were fake, so I bought them and went back home and bought them from my pharmacy.
"I was sent for a urine test, which showed they were not genuine."
Mr Stewart was a registered nurse at The University of London, who had been charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
The judge, however, found he had been "in the clear" and that the pills had been "consulted" by Mr Stewart.
The judge added Mr Stewart had also admitted to selling the drugs for a non-payment of £5,000.
